About Daniel Maze
Hi, I’m Daniel Maze — Wedding Magician and Performance Artist based in Manchester.
I grew up in Nottingham and have been performing for as long as I can remember, always drawn to the way magic brings people together through shared moments of amazement and laughter. For me, magic isn’t about flashy tricks — it’s about creating real experiences that feel personal, meaningful, and lasting.
I specialise in close-up magic — the kind performed right before your eyes, where the experience feels immediate, authentic, and truly unforgettable. Over the years, I’ve performed at countless weddings and corporate events across the UK, as well as live shows at venues like The Curious Cabaret in Nottingham and The Oracle Bar in Liverpool.
The Oracle continues to be a major part of my journey. I train there alongside a team of world-class magicians, where the focus is on creating magic with real meaning — magic that’s about emotional connection, authenticity, and making people genuinely feel something. In 2025, I co-launched The Unseen Room — a monthly close-up evening of magic in Manchester, which I co-write and perform in with my business partner, Rod Hande. Our show is inspired by the energy of underground jazz clubs and the art of intimate performance. I also perform as part of a talented team in Sleight, an experimental close-up magic show in Nottingham, in partnership with The Curious Cabaret, where we explore new and innovative ways to bring magic to life.
Looking ahead, I’m excited to continue pushing the boundaries of my craft. Over the next year, I’d like to perform a series of particularly innovative tricks that will surprise and challenge the way magic is experienced. We are also working on taking The Unseen Room on tour, performing internationally, and bringing our style of magic to the Edinburgh Fringe Festival and beyond.
I love what I do, and every show, every audience, is a new opportunity to create something unforgettable. I can’t wait to see where the next chapter leads — and I hope to share some magic with you soon.
